    Finding T-Mobile towers around you

Tap Find towers near me, or search a ZIP code, to list the T-Mobile towers near you. Each registered structure where T-Mobile appears on the FCC record is shown with its distance, the direction to it, its height and its owner. The dial places them around you so you can see which way the nearest T-Mobile site lies.

T-Mobile's FCC records come under many names: T-Mobile USA, T-Mobile West, T-Mobile Northeast and other regional companies, plus the tower-holding companies it set up. The finder also counts Sprint and Nextel, whose networks became part of T-Mobile after the 2020 merger, and the older Omnipoint, VoiceStream and Powertel names. 3,831 registered sites nationwide carry one of those names in the current data.

Why fewer T-Mobile sites are tagged

T-Mobile never held the old 850 MHz cellular licences that list every transmitter, which Verizon and AT&T inherited from the original 1980s carriers. Its spectrum (600 MHz, PCS, AWS and the 2.5 GHz band behind most of its 5G) is licensed by area, with no site list. So a site is tagged T-Mobile here only when a T-Mobile company owns the structure itself.

That means many towers carrying T-Mobile antennas show as American Tower, Crown Castle or SBA sites. Crown Castle, for example, took over the operation of thousands of T-Mobile towers in 2012, and some are still registered under T-Mobile tower-company names. If the T-Mobile filter shows nothing close, switch to All: the nearest tall tower owned by a tower company is a strong candidate.

Using the list to fix T-Mobile signal

T-Mobile's mid-band 5G, on 2.5 GHz, carries a lot of data but fades faster through walls and over distance than its 600 MHz low band. If your phone shows 5G outdoors and drops to LTE indoors, the site is probably more than a mile or two away or on the far side of the building. The bearing in the list tells you which window or wall faces it.

For a lasting fix, T-Mobile supports Wi-Fi calling on most phones, and signal boosters work if you aim the outdoor antenna at the site. Check the carrier's own coverage map for the bands it broadcasts in your area; this page tells you where the structures are, not which bands are live on them.

What the owner field tells you

When the owner is a T-Mobile company, T-Mobile controls the structure. When it is a tower company, the tower is shared. When it is a utility, a county or a broadcaster, the site may host public-safety radio, TV or FM rather than any carrier at all. The ASR number on each result opens the full filing in the FCC's database if you want to see the registration history.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I find T-Mobile towers near me?

Select the T-Mobile chip and tap Find towers near me. Sites with T-Mobile, Sprint or Nextel on the FCC record appear nearest first. Switch to All to include shared towers owned by tower companies.

Are Sprint towers now T-Mobile towers?

Sprint merged into T-Mobile in 2020 and its network was folded into T-Mobile's. Sites registered under Sprint or Nextel names are counted as T-Mobile here.

Why does the T-Mobile filter show so few towers?

Because T-Mobile's licences do not list individual sites, a site is tagged only when a T-Mobile company owns the structure. Most T-Mobile antennas sit on towers owned by tower companies.

Does this show T-Mobile 5G towers?

It shows where T-Mobile-named structures are. The FCC does not publish which sites broadcast 5G, so check T-Mobile's coverage map for 5G availability.
